Gold Mine Projects
In respect of a particular gold mine project executed in Tanzania with a value of just under two billion Rand, CSSI advised its client, the EPC contractor, through the execution phase of the project and through a lengthy dispute resolution process thereafter in pursuit of claims the client was entitled to.
This involved some twenty different claims with a combined value of some half a billion Rand being taken through multiple adjudication procedures, two arbitrations as well as court procedures both in South Africa and Tanzania. CSSI was the lead advisors to the client for the duration of these procedures and, with the assistance of an incredibly talented team of lawyers, quantity surveyors, planners and engineering consultants, the client was successful in pursuing its claims.
